Bob, your thread brought to mind this question. Did Morgan ever offer any detailed explanation as to why he was so dis-satisfied with the 26th? I know most of the men in the 26th were a little different breed than the soldiers he had in the 1st, but something seems to have happened that made Morgan more or less give up. Sort of out of character for him in my opinion.
