Don't forget to check Wisc. I know the first man attributed with getting the MOH was last named Ellis, who got it at the fight at DArdanelle. I cant remember which Wisc Cav unit he was in and I think he was 1SG. I think the name James Ellis but can't be for sure. Although I am not sure where he was from in Ark, he was born in Maine or somewhere like that.
