McAlister, age 46, Fifer/Drummer/Private, Captain Stuart's Company, McRae's Battalion, Arkansas Infantry*, joined for duty and enrolled July 8, 1861 at Bentonville by Captain Stuart for 12 months, absent without leave from March 7/8, 1862, "dropped from rolls according to General Order," June 30,1862, no further records

* This company subsequently became Company C, Northwest 15th Regiment Arkansas Infantry

[Note, he was most likely dropped from the rolls as his original 12 months enlistment was up and he was over the age of conscription, 35]
