Thanks for the information. I re-checked Crockett Boone's parole certificate from October, 1865 in San Antonio, Texas. At the top it says "Headquarters Calvary Forces Military Div. of the Gulf." In the body of the certificate it says Crockett Boone was a member of Company F, 15th Arkansas Calvary. I don't know how he got from the 15th Infantry, to the consolidated regiment you speak of, and then to the 15th Arkansas Calvary. But I suppose there was a lot of confusion at that time, and many of the regiments were incorrectly listed on parole documents, etc.
