Cleburne not in Command at Arsenal

Most biographies of Cleburne indicate that he was in command of the Yell Rifles at Little Rock in early February, when the Arsenal was seized, but at least one fairly early source says he was only a private in the company at the time of the Arsenal Crisis. (Harrell, John M., Confederate Military History Volume 10, http://books.google.com/books?id=VZ9YAAAAMAAJ&pg=RA1-PA3&lpg=RA1-PA3&dq=Confederate+Military+History+Arsenal+Little+Rock+Rector&source=bl&ots=5btGLHMuM8&sig=F-kTX2ufQ-u0701dW_Za4piYCeY&hl=en&ei=nQVkTc-BI4e4twei3Lz8Cw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBsQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=Cleburne&f=false)

When I look at the List of Commissioned Officers of the State Militia 1827–62, Records of the Military Department of Arkansas at the AHC, General Microfilm Roll 38-8, I find that Cleburne is not listed as an officer in Yell Rifles until later in February 1861, probably after the company returned from the Arsenal Crisis. CPT George Otey is listed as a Captain in a Volunteer Infantry Company which I take to be the Phillips Guards before the Crisis but not Cleburne.

Any thoughts or other sources that I should look at would be greatly appreciated.
