James A. Stanfield, msg 4 Bryan

James A. Stanfield was a private in Company F, 4th Arkansas Calvary Regiment (Gordon's), CSA. Family bible records state he was born July 2, 1840 and "was slain" October 20, 1864. He was from Washington County, Arkansas. His last Company Muster Roll was for Jan. & Feb., 1864. I understand the Regiment was part of Price's Missouri Raid. They were involved in several battles leading up to and immediately following October 20, 1864. Do you have any additional information as to when and where he was killed? Sincerely, John Mitchell
