I have an ancestor named Thomas Jefferson Spicer who was born 8 Sep 1833 in Anderson, TN, and died 20 Feb 1925 in Clark, Logan, AR. I found a record that a Thomas J. Spicer enlisted as a Pvt in Co. C, 1st Mounted Rifles. However, I received information from a connection on Ancestry.com that stated that our Thomas Jefferson Spicer didn't fight for either the Union or the Confederacy, but rather spent his time as a bushwacker. Can anyone help me figure this out? I appreciate the assistance! Allen
