I concur with your method of using the designation that appears in the Wilson Creek Records. I also agree with the pathology of the how business! But I an trying to piece together what became of each of the volunteer companies, especially the ones that I can track back to the militia. It is interesting that McRea wound up with the muster rolls for these other companies. I wonder if he was the enlistment officer at Camp Walker like he had been at Camp Rector? Did McRea's Battalion disband with the rest of the State Troops?
