The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

1st Arkansas (30 Day Volunteers)

I am looking for information on the use of Militia by Col. Boland in the Fall of 1861. I know there was an argument between Boland and Gov. Rector about the Fact that Rector called for militia to help defend Northeast Arkansas in the wake of Hardee's departure east of the Mississippi. I know Boland's call resulted in the formation of the 1st Arkansas (30 day volunteers) and the 2nd Arkansas (30 day volunteers).

I found the reference below in the Offical Records, does anyone have another source about the formation of these two regiments?

From proceedings of the Military Board of the State of Arkansas.
Little Rock, November 8,1861.*

The board met pursuant to adjournment. Present, Governor Rector and Mr. Hill.
It being represented that the State was in danger of invasion, and that Colonel Borland's command was threatened with immediate attack, it was ordered that Brigadier-General Phillips be ordered to call out the Eighth Brigade ot Militia, and that he also order out one company each from the following counties, viz: Prairie, Monroe, Poinsett, Saint Francis, and Craighead.
