Hi George, the information you gave mirrors what I found on Ancestry.com (with a little bit more info). After considering all of the information I've received following my original post, it seems to me that Thomas J. Hargrove served in Witt's Cavalry and then at some point following the War moved to Saline County, AR where he filed his pension application. I think your right on with where I need to look next.
