I didn't know there was or is a book listing those in the PH Hospital. I can tell you this, apparently many of the men there in April 1863 were very sick. For instance, of the Pointe Coupee Artillery, two companies, numbering some 215 men left Port Hudson April 06 and left behind some 12 percent of their number as "left sick at Port Hudson". Those who had already died were not counted in this tally. The only reason they were there to begin with is their commander Gen. Villepigue and his brigade were ordered to PH (a milder climate) in November 09, 1862 to increase his chances of recovering from a severe illness. He died as soon as he and his brigade reached Port Hudson.
That is, these guys were still dealing with the various camp illesses of 1862 before they got there.
