The book has been reissued under a new title & can be found on Amazon.com. It is a pretty good local history of the war in that area. The book contains numerous mentions of GW Rutherford, but the capture information is about what I told you, no more detail than that. If memory serves I think Rutherford was captured by a patrol from the Union 11th Missouri Cavalry.
