Is there anyone that can help me to locate my great great grandfather that was in the Civil War . He was messenger between the troops (confederate) and I can not find any info on him. He was a farmer from Mississippi that came to AK b/c of the farming. He his his wife and five children arrived 1859-1860. I found his wife 4 out of the five children, her new husband and a new baby. They had moved to Beinville Parish, LA (Ringgold) by 1870.
They were in Jefferson County Dudley Creek . If anyone can/would tell me were to look for this information or even where to start I would be forever greatful.
