Mr. Cluck

This outline seems to be factual correct.

While technically assigned as a unattached unit to General Daniel Frost defense of the Lower Arkansas River command at Pine Bluff from April until August of 1863, I can not find where they took part in any of the expeditions of Col John Clarks Missouri Infantry command against the Union Naval forces and supply transports on the Lower Mississippi river during that period. Because of that it does not appear that Hardy's Arkansas Infantry Regiment actually became a part of Frost Missouri Brigade until Fort Pleasent was ordered abandoned, and it guns (Lady Baxter and a 9 inch gun) were removed to Little Rock along with all the troops stationed at Pine Bluff and Sulphur Springs.

I am not sure that very many of the 19th and 24th Arkansas along with those of Crawfords battalion that were actually at Arkansas Post ever "excaped". It appears that those who actually made up Hardy's Regiment were those men who were either at gun emplacements at St. Charles and Deval's Bluff and excaped the Union Naval fleet going up the White River after the Battle of Arkansas Post. along with those men who were in the hospitals at Sulphur Springs, St Charles and Deval's Bluff, such as Col Dawson himself.
