Thank you Bob. I agree with what you said. In looking at Ancestry .Com I have so many different dates and places listed. Having looked into the Unit he was with and the history of that unit, I beleive he was at the Battle of Cornith. Gen. Van Dorn was trying to retreat and caught at the Hatchie River Bridge. I have heard he was wounded and shipped to Columbus, Mississippi. His death date was after the Battle of Shiloh, and after Vicksburg, Mississippi. My wife is a Meeks from Arkansas.
