The surviving muster rolls for Company A are missing those bi-monthly reports for the periods Sept/Oct and Nov/Dec, 1863. This might explain the missing records.

The American CW Research Database lists only one member of the regiment captured that day.

Enlisted as a Private (date unknown).
He was listed as:
* POW 12/25/1863 Riley County, MO
He also had service in:
"E" Co. AR 38th Infantry (Died of typhoid malaria)
