I recently read a reference to a skirmish that took place at Beatty's Mill, Arkansas sometime around September 1, 1864, apparently in Yell Co. Does anyone know of this skirmish. Furthermore, I would like to know where this mill was, what kind of Mill and who was the owner, operator. Am compiling data on Mills that existed at the time of the War in both Arkansas, Missiouri and the I.T.
