I find James H. Age 37, and Jesse A. age 18 in Company G, 3rd Ark Cav. On the Confederate side I find a P. G. (probable brother to James) and Jesse in 10th Ark Inf. THis unit was from Conway Co. On the Union enlistment it says both enlisted from Conway Co. NOt able to find Isaac C. Reynolds on the 1860 census. There was a J. Reynolds there in Conway Co as well but have no way to tie him to a unit. He had a son George who could have been of age to fight. Without further info, no way to tell who was killed at Shiloh. It looks like Jesse got caught up in enlistment fever, and then went over to the other side with his dad. My wife's ancestors were all Conway Co. folks. Stell's, Smith's and Cargiles, many of whom served in 10th Ark Inf.
