Good luck, we are trying to do the same thing and the VA is now blocking every application unless you can "PROVE" they were buried....anywhere, unmarked etc. The dead at Cottonplant as far as I know have no known burial location. They were probably buried quickly there around the battlefield area and that was it, no marking and location lost to the ages.
