I know you asked the question in 2009. But, I just saw it. I was doing research on the 2 Barnetts buried in the Confederate Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Va. I came across these several years back. Loved stopping by the cemetery each time I was in Fredericksburg. I was passing these 2 Barnetts on to my brother. He is researching Srgt. J.H. Barnett from Texas. There is also a Priv. James D. Barnett, from Arkansas, buried there. Not sure that this is a help, to you, or if you have already found your answers. The Battle of Fredericksburg was fought December 11–15, 1862. Chancellorsville is nearby as well as Spotslyvania and the Wilderness. I have been to all of these battlefields. If this helps you I would be interested in knowing.
