Bruce,
Thank you so much.
I hadn't considered that spelling for Nattin.
I got the info. from a Widow's Pension & it was almost 40 years
after Joel's death that his wife applied for the pension.
For a very long time I have been searching to try to find where he
died and I am still no closer.
Being a woman all this military stuff has me confused, it seems very disorganized to me.
I can find nothing to speak of on Miller/Lafayette counties where he was living when he
volunteered.
All this is very important to me, even if I knew he died as a result of a certain battle
it would help.
Since he was honorably discharged on the 1st of July and died on the 10th 1864, I am assuming
since she got the pension he died as a result of injury or illness from the war.
I can't find his name on any muster roll. So I am running blind.
I really need help.
I appreciate any input.
Thanks everyone.
Sunny
