Folks, I am trying to find some information about a Confederate soldier named John Townsend, probably from Clark County. A letter I have says he was captured on the Missouri River, which I'm betting is the Little Missouri, meaning he could have been captured during the fight at Elkins' Ferry. Any information/assistance is GREATLY appreciated.
