In regards to the TS Conely. You are correct I. It is a steamship. The Steamships were usually identified by the monikers of the type of engine. TS is abbreviation for Turbine Steamer, PS, is abbreviation for Paddle Steamer. MD stands for motor driven. There is a book by D. Huddleston about Steamboats on The White River. However he includes when known the history of where else the Steamers operated and what happened to the boat, there may be mention of the Conely. If it was on the White River at any time, it may be in the book. Jackson County has several history’s written by local historians who recorded several regiments leaving for service
Being transported from Jacksonport and Grand Glaize. Lady Jane Luker (I may be misspelling her name) has an extensive. History she wrote. Might be a good source to
Check as well.
