Sir I am a retired Peace Officer in Oklahoma I know the laws of cutting a gun down. They are Federal law of barrel length of no less than 18 inches and overall length of 26 inches, anyone with a Felony may not alter the length of any gun whatsoever.

What I want to know is what the average barrel length of a cutoff shotgun during the War or Indian Wars,,, Thanks for your input.

The Gun I have is unserviceable as it is so I am going to make a re-enactors gun of it. Seeing as how it is not a muzzle loading shotgun, I'm looking at Indian Wars,,,,
