I'm not sure as to the type of fuse used. I haven't seen the shell since it was cleaned up. Everything that was found is being conserved by the NPS's Midwest Archeological Center in Omaha, NE.

Doug Keller passed away last April from a heart attack. The park has decided not to fill his position. I'll ask the contact person in Omaha about the fuse and get back with you on that.
