"Off Topic" 1873 Single Action Army

Okay, I'm breaking my own rules, but do we have anyone in this group who owns or knows about Colt SAA's both original and reproduction?

My gg-grandfather, Franklin Pierce "Frank" West was a law officer in the Indian Territory in the 1880's ("Indian Light Horse") He was killed in a relatively famous Old West gunfight, Dec. 17th, 1886. His antagonist, Sam Starr, husband of Belle Starr was also killed when Frank West returned fire.

A cousin of mine owns the revolver that was used by Frank West in the gunfight and I've been thinking about attempting to reproduce it, as nearly as possible with a reproduction. I've asked my cousin to provide a serial number and some additional photos; however, the gun is in a safety deposit box and it will probably take some time before I get an answer.

Can someone look at an online photo of this gun and see if you can identify the exact model of this gun, for instance, does it appear to have a case-hardened frame? I know the grips are rubberized "Rampant Colt" style. From the photo it appears to be a 4 3/4" barrel. Any additional info or comments would be appreciated.

There is a link to a photo of the gun below.

Thanks in advance for any help.
