First, try the Ames Sword Company website. Second, not even g.i. sabers of the period were capable of accepting sharpening, although many tried. Had they an edge put on before tempering, I have read, then they could have been sharpened and kept sharp. That is why no CW sword (and there is no such thing as a Model 1860) is to be found with a sharpened blade.
