The Henry Repeating Rifle in reenacting makes for an awesome display of firepower when used in the correct battle and time frame. At Franklin in 2004 we had 10 Henrys with each having over 500 rounds for the weekend with some bringing 1000 rounds for the 3 days. We "shoot" down a lot of Rebs that reenactment. The 66th Illinois Western Sharp Shooters were armed with the Henry in the Fall of 1863. These were purchased with their own money as was the ammunition for them.
