You might try contacting Master swordmaker Frank Schmitz in Solingen Germany. Frank Schmitz worked for E & F Hörster Company (est 1850) for 28 years. Hörster was renowned world-wide as one of the finest armouries for over 100 years. With the turmoil of WW2 Hörster acquired F&W Höller and the Carl Eickhorn companies. In 1997 Schmitz bought the company and with it ownership of all the original molds and designs. He may the records for the brand as well. Mr. Morgan is correct about the Höllers they were a famous Solingen family that specialized in swords. The brand is well known as manufacturers for the German/Prussian empire, and a lot of WW1 and WW2 officers swords were made by them. Although after WW1 the brand was no longer family owned. Also related is J S. Höller from Solingen, known for hunting knives, pocket knives and strait razors sold in the U.S. through Adolph Blaich, San Francisco CA in a deal brokered by Karl Edward Höller around 1873, who later settled in Nogales AZ. Perhaps Mr. Morgan has met one of his decendants, as the family still lives in Nogales and Tucson.
