I have recently inherited a family heirloom Civil War Musket. I have two questions which I am hoping to get answers to quickly.
1. What paper work is needed to carry the rifle 'in public'? i.e. to a collector, gunsmith, display case builder? I would prefer not to go to jail while getting the gun appraised.
2. Is there a reputable company that can build a hanging case for such a rifle? I've found a couple of websites, but everything seems to be for much shorter guns or not a hanging display?
3. Is there anything I should be take in consideration when obtaining such a display case?
Thanks,
William
