You got excellent advice already. You should be able to find out the close value by the Internet, if you know what kind of musket you have. If you are not sure send me a few pictures. Include a good close up of the hammer lock plate (above the trigger). Or just let us know what markings are on the the hammer lock plate. we should be able to give you info from that. The type of musket and condition is very important on value. I would not take it around and let any Tom, Dick, and Harry handle it. If you have a good Civil War Relic dealer close enough then take it to them.
