I am trying to ID a button that is supposed to be for the Louisiana Crescent Regiment, but so far I have not been able to find anything like it. It is 7/8" dia and has a crescent moon with a star inside it. The manufacturer is A.U. Wein. I have been told that it is listed in "Record of AMERICAN UNIFORM and Historical Buttons Bicentennial Edition
by Alphaeus H. Albert on page 152, but I can't find it in any of our local libraries. I can send pictures by email. Can anyone help me out with this?
