Yeah, I would say these buttons were early war. The troop positions from looking at maps seemed to indicate Gaines Mill and not Cold Harbor. We're still finding a few treasures there. Mostly bullets but an occaisional good button or two. Three unfired Parrott shells were dug there a few months back right in the Quaker Road cut on the bank on the side of the road where it drops below normal grade. There has been a lot of clearing near that farm lately and some good stuff has come out of there as well. The McGee House site, etc. Thanks for the input. Keep up the good work with the website.
