The 2nd Alabama Battalion Light Artillery, Company F “Lumsden's Artillery Battery”, after the Battle of Perryville collected the blue coats from the scattered and retreating Union troops, and are said to have worn the coats until they were re-uniformed at Columbus, Miss. around January 1865. [Some doubt has been cast on the likelihood of them wearing the blue coats that long.]

I know that is not exactly what you wanted, as it is not regarding Arkansas troops in particular, but it is a good example.
