Thank you for your response I will try to send a picture to you. I had some down time today and have read several stories on the sinking of the USS Cumberland, quite a story! Any ideas on where I might find a list of her crew? It makes sense that Rhode Island would have provided a number of sailors to the US Navy but, I yet to find a list, any ideas? Also do you think Sailors would have joined GAR posts here in Rhode Island?
