Hey Shawn, perhaps the Army could reevaluate the project as community service and give out ribbons. They did that to me and gave me the Good Conduct Medal for not really doing anything except going to Iraq. Anyway, I was looking through the books of Glenn and there was article on the 3rd Arkansas. Their flag was surrendered at Appomattox and there was a note attached: "Mr. Yankee you will please return this flag staff and shoulder belt over to the 9th Maine, was captured at Ft. Gilmer on the 29th September 1864. by the 3rd Arks. Reg't Vols."
