Hi Philip,

I know this flag well. I have tree images of it that I have found over the years. From what Greg Daimwood tells me (he's the guy that got me into this flag years ago) the family threw it away after or before a move somewhere. I think this was in the 50s or 60s. They did give it to the TN Historical Society in the later 1800s but took it back from them some years later. Dumb move as it is now gone.

This was more than just a Hardee pattern flag - it was one of the few that were and are around from the first batch made in Bowling Green, KY by Mrs. Buckner, Mrs. Samuel Blackburn and a ladies sewing circle there. These only had a white edge on the hoist end.
