I see, it is just a little confusion of terminology, the U.S. flag used at a military post or garrison, etc. would be the U.S. National flag or U.S. flag, at this time period, it could have 33, 34, 35 or 36 stars in the canton. Refer back to my first post on this subject, however, depending on the post commander, as long as the flag is treated with respect it can be folded in any manner. Rules are rules to be broken and traditions are traditions. An infantry man will find the fasts, safest way to get things done, as long as the command stays out of the way.
If you search the net, I’m sure there is a page or hundreds, that will show you how to fold the U.S. National flag using the triangular method.
Happy Trails!
