They served in the ANV. Reportedly at the end of the war they managed to outpace the Federal forces closing on Appomattox and escaped. Thereafter disbanded and simply went home. Reportedly Capt Hardwicke took their flag and concealed it in his jacket on his way homeward bound. Curious if this and/or any other flag related may have survived in public or known private collection.
