The Civil War Flags Message Board

Re: Pennsylvania Flag Symposium

I bought the two volumes of "Advance the Colors" long ago. They were a huge help on Pennsylvania flags, but the 83rd PA and 99th PA he did not list where their flag/colors were captured. I checked his sources/endnotes, etc. I found more at the National Archives and just went through every Union state's MS Roll from their old records. It was a huge help, but there are hundreds and hundreds, etc more captured Union flags out there.

I am finally retired and have the time to dig dig dig!! I have not been on this outstanding site in months. I was out in New Mexico and Texas, seaking any help (On captured Union Flags). Many Union flags captured, were sent to the Governor's of their state. So many captured Union flags, should be on record in all of the Southern Capitals. That's why I will be launching more travel tours to more Southern Capitals. I am back for the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays in the soon future.

Thank you for all the hard work, everyone does on this outstanding site!
