The 5th Alabama Battalion lost their flag some distance south of where the 12th New Jersey fought. The Rollins book did not name who took these two flags as he could not find the names at the time from the sources he checked which included the files at Gettysburg.

Do you have any idea at all what flag he might have taken? Rollins stated the one was taken on the wall and the other a distance in front of it.
