I did some research, after I asked you about the flag & found out it belong to General Richard Taylor'a Army (Mar 1864). On 14 Nov 1863, the 18th Louisiana Infantry Regiment, consolidated with the 10th Louisiana Battalion (Yellow Jacket Battalion) at Simmesport.
