Cadets from the West Florida Seminary

Continuing along with my effort to stimulate a little life here on the Florida board, today I'm posting a recreated roster of the Corps of Cadets from the West Florida Seminary (today's Florida State University).

The cadets were a storied part of the Battle of Natural Bridge near Tallahassee on March 6, 1865. They also fought at Newport Bridge on March 5, 1865. Not all members of the corps were present on the battlefield, as some of the younger boys were kept in Tallahassee to perform other duties.

I spent considerable time working on records relating to this unit while writing my new book on the Battle of Natural Bridge and was able to identify the following as likely members of the corps:
