Camfield/McQueen/Old Town

Dale, I just re-discovered your answer to my request for any information that concerned James William McQueen, JLF Cottrell of Old Town,Fla, near Clay Landing. They were burned out during "The War" A Major Camfield (CSA) came to this area to seek and destroy any deserters/clandestine men in that same area, at McQueen's request. The destruction of his/thier homes was supposedly in retaliation for this. I am interested in the McQueen's political leanings (CSA/Union) during the "war" as well as any information you may offer that concerns these men, and
thier times. Both were Florida Legislators prior to the war. I have found little, except an account by one Pvt.Hankins CSA during the war. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
McQueen Smith
