I am the son of Joe L Sharit, from Port St Joe, FL and was searching for records of our family. My father was the son of James H. Sharit (Sharritt) of Cottondale. My gransfather James apparently was the brother of Josiah L. Sharit and my father's true name was Josiah L. Sharit. Apparently my father was named for his grandfather's brother
I know there were Sharit family members in Apalachicola but I do not know what the relationship might be.If you have any information about the family I will appreciate it if you will share the info with me.
