A Few Florida Ancestors Sought

Hello everyone,

I was looking for some further information on two ancestors of mine who served in the war for Florida.

James D Johnson (b 5-5-1846, d 4-12-1916), supposedly in 1st Florida Infantry reserves, Co C as a private

William G Brown (b 2-14-1833, d 1916 in Lafayette Co), supposedly in 5th Florida Infantry, Co E

There are other ancestors, but I haven't found evidence they served:
Lewis Maloney Dees (b 2-8-1815, d 4-12-1902), Lafayette Co. FL; wife Lydia Henderson
Matthew M Dees/Deas (b 1794, d 11-10-1873), Hamilton, FL; wife Rebecca Downing
Uriah Snipes (b 7-11-1825, d 3-5-1899), Lafayette Co., FL; wife Mary Philips

I appreciate any additional info anyone might have as to rank, unit, company, mustered in/out, pension, etc.

Thanks!!
