Hi, my name is James I am now starting my Civil War project for 8th grade and I am wanting to know if any one knows about this prison camp. The note that my grandma wrote reads "Surrenders to Gen. Forrest, taken to Rome , Georgia {Parol} went by coal car to Atlanta, on the Richmond via Knoxville, Tenn.. (Lynchville arriving) I have looked at alot of places and can not find any thing saying about a pison camp in Rome Georgia if you know any information please email me at pappy535@netscape.net
