Re: Asher's co. (Murray co. Cav.)

Hi,

The R. Mobley is a possible. The Samuel James is not the same person. My Samuel James married in Murray co., GA in 1867. He died in Holdenville, OK in 1926.

As for R. Mobley I really don't know. I just know that the one I'm looking for was deceased by 1867 when his daughter married Samuel A. James. He's listed in the 1850 census in Murray co., GA. I know that doesn't mean he enlisted in Murray co., GA. I'll have to find my copy of the census record to see when and where he's listed as being born. 1826 is what sticks in my mind for the year.

Thanks,

Lisa Taylor
