Hugh,

Have you checked his "Compiled Service Record" (CSR) from the 28th Battalion, GA Siege Artillery?

Unfortunately, if he died late in the war (1865), there might not be any record of his death in the service records. One possibility is to check estate records from Harris County to see if there might be a mention of his death.

Unfortunately, in my book, I have no record of him after he was discharged May 9, 1863, for being overage.
