The place of death for William Babbitt/Bobbett of Co. "C", 4th Georgia Regiment, raises a question: if he was indeed killed in the Wilderness on May 5, 1864, how did his body come to be buried at Harrisonburg? Is is possible that the date and place of death is in error?

Memorial Service at the Confederate Monument in Woodbine Cemetary, Harrisonburg. Many unknown Confederate soldiers who fell in battles up and down the Shenandoah Valley are buried here.
